How To Make Baked Figs With Chevre

Baked Figs With Chevre combines the sweetness of figs with the bite of the goat cheese. Add some honey, lemon and pecans for summery deliciousness.

Materials

  • 6 Figs
  • 1 1/2 Tbls Olive Oil
  • 3 Tbls Honey
  • 3 Tbls Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 oz Chevre Goat Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Pecans Chopped

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 400°
  • Prepare the figs. Cut the stem end off and slice an 'X' half way down the figs. Put the figs into an oiled baking dish. Using your fingers gently open the figs so you can stuff them.
  • Drizzle the olive oil, honey and balsamic vinegar into each fig.
  • Bake, uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove the baking dish from the oven but leave the oven on.
  • Press the chevre firmly into each fig. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the dish.
  • Bake for 10 more minutes.
  • Serve while hot.
