Halibut With Roasted Paprika Sauce

Halibut with Roasted Paprika Sauce is a moist and succulent piece of halibut served with a sauce made from fresh red paprika peppers.

Materials

  • 2 Pieces Halibut
  • 6 Paprika Peppers roasted, stems, seeds and peels removed
  • 4 Garlic Cloves peeled
  • 3/4 Cup Almonds
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbls Butter

Instructions

  • Put the seeded paprika peppers into the bowl of a food processor.
  • Add the garlic and pulse briefly.
  • Add the nuts and process until fairly smooth.
  • With the food processor running, slowly add the oil.
  • Add the lemon juice and salt and pulse briefly.
  • Pat the halibut pieces dry and sprinkle salt and pepper over both sides of the fish.
  • Heat some oil in a saucepan over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the sauce, turn the heat down and let the sauce warm up over low heat.
  • Put the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Slice the lemon thinly and put half the slices in with the butter.
  • Add the fish to the hot butter and lemon slices. Put the rest of the lemon on top of the fish. Cook the first side of the fish for 2 minutes.
  • Turn the fish over and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, being careful not to overcook it.
  • Put some sauce on a plate and put the fish on top of the sauce. Add a littl more sauce on top and serve.
  • Keep any extra sauce refrigerated until you are ready to use it.
