Description
Halibut with Roasted Paprika Sauce is a moist and succulent piece of halibut served with a sauce made from fresh red paprika peppers.

- 2 Pieces of Halibut
- 6 Paprika Chiles, roasted, stems, seeds and peels removed
- 4 Whole Garlic Cloves, peeled
- 3/4 cup Almonds
- 1/4 cup Oil Juice of
- 1/2 a Lemon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 Tbls Butter
Instructions
- Put the seeded paprika peppers into the bowl of a food processor.
- Add the garlic and pulse briefly.
- Add the nuts and process until fairly smooth.
- With the food processor running, slowly add the oil.
- Add the lemon juice and salt and pulse briefly.
- Pat the halibut pieces dry and sprinkle salt and pepper over both sides of the fish.
- Heat some oil in a saucepan over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the sauce, turn the heat down and let the sauce warm up over low heat.
- Put the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Slice the lemon thinly and put half the slices in with the butter.
- Add the fish to the hot butter and lemon slices. Put the rest of the lemon on top of the fish. Cook the first side of the fish for 2 minutes.
- Turn the fish over and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, being careful not to overcook it.
- Put some sauce on a plate and put the fish on top of the sauce. Add a littl more sauce on top and serve.
- Keep any extra sauce refrigerated until you are ready to use it.
