Description

Halibut with Roasted Paprika Sauce is a moist and succulent piece of halibut served with a sauce made from fresh red paprika peppers.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 Pieces of Halibut
  • 6 Paprika Chiles, roasted, stems, seeds and peels removed
  • 4 Whole Garlic Cloves, peeled
  • 3/4 cup Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Oil Juice of
  • 1/2 a Lemon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbls Butter

Instructions

  1. Put the seeded paprika peppers into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Add the garlic and pulse briefly.
  3. Add the nuts and process until fairly smooth.
  4. With the food processor running, slowly add the oil.
  5. Add the lemon juice and salt and pulse briefly.
  6. Pat the halibut pieces dry and sprinkle salt and pepper over both sides of the fish.
  7. Heat some oil in a saucepan over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the sauce, turn the heat down and let the sauce warm up over low heat.
  8. Put the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  9. Slice the lemon thinly and put half the slices in with the butter.
  10. Add the fish to the hot butter and lemon slices. Put the rest of the lemon on top of the fish. Cook the first side of the fish for 2 minutes.
  11. Turn the fish over and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, being careful not to overcook it.
  12. Put some sauce on a plate and put the fish on top of the sauce. Add a littl more sauce on top and serve.
  13. Keep any extra sauce refrigerated until you are ready to use it.
