How To Make A Gluten Free Almond Tart Crust

Description

A delicious gluten free almond tart crust that stays crunchy with the juiciest fillings and holds up well for leftovers.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup Gluten Free Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Cold Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbls Cold Water

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of a food processor combine the flour, almonds, sugar and salt. Pulse to break up the almonds and combine the ingredients. Add the almond extract and butter. Pulse until the butter is smaller than a small pea. With the food processor running, add the water. Process until the doiugh forms a ball.
  2. Press the dough into a 9 1/2 inch tart pan.
  3. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Place on a cooling rack to cool.

Notes

You can toast the almonds for this crust in a dry pan over medium heat.
